Shirley's Collected Recipes

Louisiana proverb: "Each cook knows his own pot best"

Warning! The recipe bins below and A-Z Index are outdated. Our Search button does work after all. You have to scroll a bit, but we may have it.

Shirls' Favs are mostly inspired by famous cooks and revised to adapt to our family's preferences. Some of the recipes are so old, I was
not citing their source, but began when we developed this web site some 30 years ago. We are now retired and have three grandchildren,
so I am now cooking for two but the preferences remain the same. I use abbreviations for ingredients: small "t" for teaspoon, capital "T" for
tablespoons, "chpd" for chopped. "Inspired" means I use bits and pieces from various sources to come up with an acceptable end-product. Sort of
like The Barefoot Contessa, probably.

If you haven't already guessed, we are chile aficionados, so there is a separate bin for Chile Peppers.

Enjoy!
