Shirley's Collected Recipes
Louisiana proverb: "Each cook knows his own pot best"
Warning! The recipe bins below and the A-Z index are seriously outdated. Suggest you do a search on recipe or ingredient.
After watching FoodTV and Pitmaster BBQ chefs and their secrets, you would come to the conclusion thatif you use ketchup or tomato sauce, vinegar Worcestershire Sauce, brown sugar and/or molasses, dry mustard, and hot peppers of some sort, you will eventually come up with a decent sauce. Everyone has their "secret" ingredient to make theirs special, but it gets down to the foundation ingredients. Motivated by those chefs, I stumbled on another change that makes Shirls' BBQ Sauce. Probably too late for your Fourth of July "Q" but you have the whole summer to experiment.
