Hunter's Sauce

Note: Serve with London Broil or chicken over steamed carrots and noodles.

2 T Butter
1/2 cp tomato sauce or puree
2 T minced onion or shallots
1 cp beef bouillon or stock
1 cp sliced mushrooms
1 Bay leaf
1/2 cp dry white wine
1/2 t thyme

1. Saute onions in butter.
2. Stir in mushrooms and saute gently for about 2 minutes.
3. Add wine, tomato sauce, bouillon or stock, and spices.
4. Cook for 5 minutes. Correct seasoning. Add parsley if available.
